Yannick holds a Supelec engineering degree, as well as an Executive MBA from INSEAD. He began his career as a research engineer working on issues of stability of the electrical system. From 2000 to 2005, during the years of defining the terms of market opening, he was responsible for the Department defining EDF’s tariffs.
Yannick then joined EDF’s research and development department, which designs and develops the methods and tools for managing EDF’s production fleet and assessing financial risks in energy markets.
In 2013, he became Deputy Director of European Affairs at RTE, before taking over the management of RTE’s research and development in 2016. Since 2019, he is the Power System Economics Director at RTE Electrical System.
