
Virginie graduated as an engineer, obtained a master’s degree in energy and environmental economics and a doctorate in transportation economics. She started her carrier at the Ministry in charge of transport, then at the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile and the French Embassy in China.
Virginie Boutueil is a now researcher in the socio-economics of mobility. Her research focuses on innovative mobility solutions, digital mobility transformation, and associated public policies. She is the author, alongside Anne Aguiléra, of Urban Mobility and the Smartphone, published in 2018 by Elsevier. Virginie is also a Lecturer at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and teaches the analysis of mobility behaviours, the economy of new mobility services and the design of innovative mobility services to a variety of audiences both in France and abroad.
