Last kilometre delivery

When it comes to logistics, the last kilometre separating a delivery from its recipient is simultaneously the most expensive and the most complex to manage. It is no longer a matter of transporting large volumes so as to benefit from the economy of scale: each package must be routed, one after the other, to its final consumer. In backed-up urban centres, this becomes both an ecological and an economic issue. Local authorities and logisticians have come up with numerous solutions to the challenge. Renault’s range of 100% electric vehicles notably includes four that are adapted to last kilometre delivery while the EZ-PRO concept car is providing a window into the solutions of the future in this field.
